Theme: Research in Anatomy: Challenges and Solutions, Amid the COVID 19 Pandemic.

Dr. Kumar Satish Ravi, MBBS, MD, graduated from Sri Krishna Medical College & Hospital, Muzaffarpur, and perceived MD Anatomy from JIPMER Pondicherry. His educational accomplishments include FAIMER fellowship from Manipal University, Fellow of IMSA, and D. Litt. (h.c.) from California Public University, MBA in healthcare & hospital management and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in cytogenetics.

Dr. Ravi has served as Assistant Professor and Course Director & Head of Anatomy at School of Medicine, Spartan Health Sciences University, St. Lucia, North America. He is a well-known administrator. Served as Chairperson and member in several committees and worked as Assistant Dean (Academics), Sub Dean (Academics) at AIIMS Rishikesh. Presently, he is working as an Additional Professor and has additional charge of Assistant Controller of Examination and Additional Proctor in the same institution.

Dr. Ravi enjoys sharing his knowledge of Anatomy and medical education experience with students. He has received the “Best Teacher Award in 2018” and “Best Professor of the year award in 2021”.

In addition to teaching, he is an active researcher, has published several papers in International and National Journals, and authored chapters in various books. He has also presented his research work at International, National & Regional conferences, and thrice he has been conferred the “Best Paper Presentation Award” for his research works. Dr. Ravi is a regular member of The American Association of Clinical Anatomists and the American Association for Anatomists. He was the only person to present a paper in AACA from India. Being a distinguished speaker, he has delivered guest lectures in various national and international CMEs and webinars and chaired scientific sessions in many conferences.

He is a life member of SOCA, Anatomical Society of India, Indian Society of Human Genetics, and other 15 professional bodies. He is also associated with several editorial boards and has served as a reviewer of renowned Journals like Clinical Anatomy, Placenta, and more than 10 National, International Journals and magazines. He is also editor of the globally recognized book “Snell’s Clinical Neuroanatomy,” 1st South Asian Edition.

He was joint editor and section editor of “Neuroanatomy &Genetics.” Last year, he assumed the position of Editor-in-Chief of the National Journal of Clinical Anatomy, an official journal of the Society of Clinical Anatomists. Because of his commendable job, he could get the Journal indexed under SCOPUS within a short time, which was very well appreciated by the anatomy fraternity—recently elected as a member of Federative International Committee for Scientific Publications from India.
