Dr. E.S. Prakash obtained the MBBS degree from Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, India, and the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in physiology from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry University, India, in 2004. He was senior lecturer in the School of Medicine, Asian Institute of Medicine, Science, and Technology (AIMST) University, Malaysia, from May 2006 to May 2008, and associate professor there from May 2008 to Feb 2011. He was associate professor of physiology at Mercer University School of Medicine, Macon, GA, USA, since 2011. He is still based at Mercer, and was promoted to full professor in 2020. He has published 10 original research communications in the field of clinical cardiovascular autonomic research, about 20 articles pertaining to medical physiology education, and several other brief peer-reviewed opinion pieces. His interests pertain to clinically oriented physiology and pathophysiology education for medical students.
